MINITAB 15 Download, Installation and Activation

Solution

1. Downloading Your Software
   Please Note: e-academy's website supports Internet Explorer 5.x and Netscape 6.x or above.
   
   1. Log in to our OnTheHub e-store with your Username and Password and click on 'Your Account' link (top right of page) to view the licensed software.
   2. Under the "Order History", select the Minitab software you have purchased and click the 'View Details' link.
   3. On the Details page, click on the link found under the 'ITEMS' section and follow the instructions. You will be prompted to download a small .exe file. This is the delivery client, which transfers the software to your computer and unlocks it.
   4. Save this file to your desktop and double-click this icon: to run the delivery client. It will take you through four steps that are necessary to download your product. (NB: if the icon does not appear as a purple circle with a yellow lightning bolt, try adding ".exe" to the end of the filename).
      1. Authorization: Ensures you are eligible to download.
      2. Downloading: Downloads the installation files.
      3. Unpacking: Unpacks the installation files and checks that the download is not corrupt.
      4. Launch Install: Launches the installation wizard.
   5. The software installation wizard will begin automatically. Follow the instructions provided by the installation wizard.
   
   
2. Installing Your Software
   
   1. The InstallShield Wizard should appear. Click "Next".
   2. If you accept the license agreement, choose the appropriate statement and click the "Next" button.
      
      • Please Note: If you do not see the license agreement but a 'repair or remove' message instead, a previous version of MINITAB is currently installed. Click 'Cancel' to stop the installation. You are required to first uninstall your previous version of MINITAB prior to installing the new license. Please see steps 1-3 found in Article 56 for information about removing MINITAB 15 and deleting the application files.
   3. By default, Minitab 15 will install to the C:\Program Files\MINITAB 15\ pathway. It is strongly recommended that you allow Minitab to install in this directory, or possibly the D:\Program Files folder.
   4. The last question is whether or not you would like a shortcut to Minitab 15 on your desktop. Check "Yes" and click "Install".
   5. If you would like to change any of the settings you have chosen, click on the "Back" button. Otherwise, click the "Install" button.
   6. Once the installation has finished, you will see a window that says Minitab 15 was successfully installed. Click the "Finish" button.
   **Note: If you receive an error message, after following the steps above, indicating that your trial version is EXPIRED, please view Article 56 for more information.
   
   
3. Activating Your Software
   1. Go to your desktop and double click the Minitab icon, or you can go to the "Start" button menu (in the bottom left corner of your screen), click on "Programs," then click on the Minitab product you have purchased to run the program.
   2. You will be required to enter your activation code. Please Note: You can get your Activation Code by following the steps below:
      1. Log in to http://estore.e-academy.com
      2. Click on "Your Account" link (top of page)
      3. Under the "Order History", select the Minitab software you purchased and click the "View Details" link
      4. Here you will see your "Activation Code"
   3. After entering your Activation Code in the required field, click "Next".
   4. Click "Finish" to run your software.
